big whoop, now maybe you have to do a little thinking for yourself rather than follow a guide word for word...
(Just cast your Visage where you would have started with sandstorm)

If you do it the way I do you'll be fine. Aggro the Graspings (with Enchats on) let them use all their interrupts, do SV or AV then your Attacks. Recast Stoneflesh + Striker and finish them. That's how I've always done it anyway. They just made it a little more tricky, not a big deal.

If you cast it immediately, yes it will. So, don't cast it immediately.
This build is still very useable. You just need to watch your timing. Cast AV/SV after aggroing the Graspings. It won't get interrupted if you time it right. Watch for the Graspings to use Distracting Blow. After they've all use it, cast AV/SV and continue as you used to. It's also possible to cast AV/SV shortly before the Graspings converge on you, although that can be quite risky.
So this build definitely wasn't nerfed. It still works perfectly. It just needs a few tweaks (9 points in Illusion works great) and you just need to be a little more careful than before. Plus, you can cast AV/SV more frequently now to make up for the decreased duration. The Nightmares are a MUCH bigger threat now so watch out.

As mentioned, this is TEMPORARY. However, in the event that this actually becomes permanent, the old build works fine. I'm not losing too much time compared to before the update. I would say the Rend Enchants being modified to 1sec cast time is more of a concern then AV/SV changes. If you're in the middle of a mass smite aggro (which I do frequently to shorten run time) and a nightmare pops up, you won't have any chance of stopping him before he finishes casting Rend Enchantments. You're only choice is wait for the cast to finish, put on storm djinn and take off, or if you're enchants have recharged, then you can throw them back on before you die.
I've been caught off guard a couple of times from the nightmare. Again, overall, no biggie. I can still work with it fine. Just have to be a little more careful.
Nice build in any case for ppl without Sandstorm

i must say most poeple that bash people who think the nerf is bad are usually the ones that:
1) can't run it in the first place
2) have neevr tried it
3) dont have that type of char
4) dont know squat but like to bash complainers
5) ...well you thinhk of something
anet nerfs everything and yes most likely even though this is a test weekend if they think it is good they will keep it. or if something if too powerful they will knock it down or too weak it goes up
and as for the guy who says it will make people start thinking for themselves..thats just idiotic people made those builds and posted it here so everyione can use it. if you are half as good as a player as they are you will eventually come up with the same if not similar build so why waste time and money?

The run really hasn't changed at all. I toss up the enchants, and just before the graspings get to me, hit AV. They shouldn't be close enough to interrupt. I get interrupted maybe once in 5 runs, in which case i wait it out and attempt to cast it again.
The nightmares are a bit more of a problem, but again, nothing for me, changed much. As soon as you see it pop up, run to it and cast aftershock. If they strip you (and it hasn't happened to me yet) Throw up SDH and run, then pull out a wand or staff and deal with them.
Again, i'm still just as successful on this run as I was before.

SV/AV duration, as people have said, isn't much of a problem. the problem now is that Rend Enchantments casting was reduced to 1 second so have to watch out for them more.

I hate the nerf, but I do like the decreased time for stances to recharge but basically thats all I like about the nerf. Anet needs to stop screwing this game up. I didnt pay 50 bucks to get a game that gets screwed up within the first year. ANET WE DONT LIKE YOU NERFING STUFF. Anet please leave stuff the way you made it. And please... Do try not screwing anything else up.
